Today we're going to take a quick look at the PTC custom fit cabin air filter. This is going to be a direct fit for our vehicle, and this is going to fit the 2007 through 2016 Mazda CX9 as well as the 2007 to 2015 Ford Edge, the 2009 to 2010 Lincoln MKS, and the 2010 Lincoln MKT, and also the 2007 to 2015 Lincoln MKX, and the 2008 to 2009 Lincoln MKZ, and the 2016 to 2018 Lincoln MKX, excluding the turbo charged.Now, basically the way to install this is that you'll remove your glove box in your vehicle. On your passenger side, open the door, open that glove box up, remove the access panel, take out your old filter, pop this into the cover and then put it back in place.You want to be sure to install this the same orientation as the one that you take out, so be sure to note where the lower ridges are on your original filter. Basically this just keeps any particulate media from getting into your vehicle. It's going to filter all that out and trap it, so that you don't have to have it come into your vehicle and breathe it in.It's going to filter things like dust, pollen, gases, harmful bacteria and other particulate media from tires and brake lines. It also is going to improve the overall functioning of our heating and cooling system for the cabin in our vehicle. more
